Mentorship and Support
At The Perfect Playground, we are committed to excellence in service quality and compliance with the highest standards in therapy and support. Our mentorship program is designed to guide our professionals toward fulfilling these standards, offering consistent, hands-on support through every stage of their journey. Our team of supervisors, clinical managers, and directors is dedicated to empowering our staff to achieve their best, ensuring that every student receives the quality care they deserve.
Intensive Onboarding and Continued Support
Our mentorship program begins from day one, with supervisors providing both on-site and off-site support to help new team members get fully integrated and prepared. Key activities include:
- First-Day Assistance: Supervisors accompany new staff to their assigned schools, assisting with scheduling, IEP review, and administrative introductions.
- Caseload Preparation: Supervisors help clinicians review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), discuss responsibilities, and optimize caseloads based on each therapist's specialized skills.
- Prompt Service Initiation: Supervisors ensure treatment begins promptly, aligning with DOE Service Level Agreements (SLA) and entering the First Attend Date within five days of the school start.
Dedicated Supervisory Roles and Responsibilities
Our supervisors are proactive mentors, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and supporting ongoing professional development. Their duties encompass:
- Regular Communication with District Personnel: Maintaining close contact with school personnel to enhance service quality.
- Quality Monitoring and Compliance: Reviewing and maintaining documentation, ensuring adherence to Perfect Playground policies.
- Quarterly and Semiannual Evaluations: Conducting regular meetings and implement instructional strategies.
Clinical Quality and Ongoing Professional Development
To support continuous professional growth, we provide all our therapists with free continuing education credits from ASHA, AOTA, and APTA. Supervisors and Clinical Managers collaborate closely to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across all schools.
Directors and Clinical Managers: Leadership and Mentorship
Our Directors oversee daily operations across districts, managing teams of Clinical Managers who are the face of The Perfect Playground in the field. Their responsibilities include:
- Identifying and Onboarding Quality Candidates: Clinical Managers perform onboarding to ensure high standards.
- Ongoing Mentorship and Monthly Touchpoints: Managers provide ongoing support, sharing best practices and clinical insights through regular, personalized touchpoints.
- Program Success Initiatives: Implementing Perfect Playground’s employee success programs, Clinical Managers assist with district-specific expectations, and address concerns.
At The Perfect Playground, our mentorship program is a cornerstone of our commitment to service quality, community impact, and educational equity. By empowering our personnel, we are creating a supportive, collaborative environment that enables us to meet the unique needs of each student and fulfill our mission of providing exceptional, equitable therapy services.
